How Dovie Works

Get started in three minutes for peace of mind every day.

  1. Step 1

Set Dovie up for your loved one

Tell Dovie who to check in with, when, and how. Pick a call, a text, or both, and the time that fits their routine. Add what matters: their hobbies, family, medications, and whether they'd like the local weather or a gentle joke. Setup takes a few minutes, and your loved one has nothing to download or learn.

  2. Step 2

    Build the care circle

Add the people who should be kept in the loop, an adult child, a sibling living out of state, a trusted neighbor, or a professional caregiver. Everyone in the circle can receive the daily confirmation and any alerts, so no single person carries the worry alone.

  3. Step 3

Dovie calls and has a real conversation

At the time you chose, Dovie, an AI voice companion, calls and chats warmly. Depending on the day she runs a wellbeing check, a medication reminder, or a friendly social call, and can share the real local weather or play a quick game. Your loved one just answers and talks, no codes, no buttons, no app.

  4. Step 4

    Every call produces an outcome

Dovie doesn't just dial. She works out whether your loved one is okay, reads how they're feeling, and writes a warm one or two sentence summary for the family. If no one answers, she waits and tries again before doing anything else, so a missed call never turns into a false alarm.

  5. Step 5

Your care circle stays informed, and help comes fast

When all is well, the care circle gets a quiet daily confirmation and summary. If Dovie hears about a fall, distress, or a call for help, or can't reach your loved one at all, she alerts the whole circle right away so someone can step in.

FAQs

Does my loved one need a smartphone?

No. Dovie works on any phone, a landline, a basic cell phone, or a smartphone. They use whatever they already have.

What if they're traveling or have visitors?

You can pause check-ins anytime for a trip, a hospital stay, or a week with family, and resume whenever you like.

Who can see the check-in updates?

Only the people you add to the care circle. You decide who's included and can change it whenever you want.

Is Dovie a medical or emergency service?

No. Dovie is a daily wellness companion, not a medical-alert device or a 911 replacement, and she never gives medical advice or contacts emergency services for you. If she senses something's wrong, she alerts your care circle right away so someone can act. For any emergency, always call your local emergency number.

What families are saying

“Dad refused a medical pendant — said it made him feel old. A friendly daily text? He didn’t mind that one bit. Now we all sleep better.”
James Adult son of Robert (83)
“I live on my own and like it that way. Dovie’s call is a nice little hello each morning, and my daughter doesn’t fret. Everybody’s happy.”
