Pricing FAQ
What counts as a "call minute"?
Call minutes are the total time Dovie spends on the phone with your loved one each month, rounded up to the nearest minute per call. Texts never count toward your minutes, they're always unlimited.
What happens if we use up our minutes?
On Base and Premium, extra minutes are just $0.20 each, added automatically to your next bill, so your check-ins keep running. On the Free plan, check-ins pause once your free calls or minutes are used, and we'll let your Care Circle know it's time to choose a plan.
What's a "scheduled check-in"?
It's a recurring routine you set up: a time, the days, and what Dovie says. For example, a morning "how are you doing" call and an evening medication reminder are two check-ins. Base includes one; Premium includes up to five.
Do unused minutes roll over?
No, your included minutes reset at the start of each billing month. (The Free plan's first 3 calls and 15 minutes are a one-time allowance to try Dovie.)
Is the Free plan really free?
Yes, no credit card required. You get your first 3 calls and up to 15 minutes of call time, plus unlimited texts, so you can see how Dovie works before choosing a plan.
Are texts limited on any plan?
No. Check-in texts are unlimited on every plan. Only call minutes are metered.
Can I change or cancel my plan?
Anytime. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel from your account, changes take effect right away, and payment and billing are managed in a secure customer portal.
How does annual billing work?
You pay once a year and get two months free compared to monthly: $120/year for Base, $240/year for Premium.
Are the calls recorded?
Yes. Dovie is an automated assistant, and calls are recorded and transcribed so we can share a short summary with your Care Circle. Dovie mentions this at the start of every call.
